ASSIGNMENT 2 - INDIVIDUAL WEBSITE PRODUCTION [30%]
PRODUCT PROMOTION WEBSITE
Overview
Plan, design, and implement a single-page website for a future product launch or
crowdfunding campaign that showcases your team’s brand and product. This
assessment task is individual work.
The website will present your team's assigned brand logo, product information and
visualisation in a website with consistent brand styling and creative page layout design.
This part of the assignment is individual assessment. Team members will produce
individual work based on a shared creative concept.
Task
In order to attract investment for development, manufacturing and distribution of a
new product, startup companies often promote their projects using a crowdfunding
campaign website.
A crowdfunding campaign provides companies with a way to promote their product
directly to their target audience to request donations to support the project.
In order to convince visitors to help fund to the product development, a successful
campaign website will usually have:
● Statement of company vision and business goals
● Proposed product features and benefits
● Visualisation of product prototypes and development timelines
● Information about the people involved in product development
● Rewards for project backers who donate to campaign
The website will feature media and product visualisations created by you or your team
members in earlier parts of the assignment project. You will also need to create new
media used in the site as both content and visual branding.
The layout of sections in your website must make use of modern CSS layout techniques
to create layouts to showcase your team’s brand and product.
The site must also include the video you produced in Assignment 1.

Website Technical Requirements
Design and implement a single page only. The page may include links or buttons that
give the appearance of navigation to further pages. However, you do not need to
design or develop any pages beyond the initial homepage. Only 1 page will be marked.
The page must have between 5 and 8 different sections. Each section must present a
different type of information about the company or product.
Your website must use flexible dimensions and modern CSS flexbox and grid layout
techniques to allow the design to scale to fit a variety of common tablet screen
dimensions. Your site needs to scale to fit the following screen sizes.
● Small tablets in landscape orientation at 1024 x 768 px
● Medium-sized tablets in landscape orientation at 1280 x 720 px
● Large tablets in landscape orientation at 1366 x 1024px
You do not need to test using a real tablet device. All testing can be done using
Google Chrome’s DevTools device simulator.
Your site must include your Assignment 1 video as playable content that has been
optimised for web delivery. You must also include 1 additional video that you have
created to use as a decorative background asset.
Use of Online Resources
The following requirements apply to all resources that are not your own original work
used in the production of your website and website content.
● All text content in the site should be your own original work.
● All downloaded images, video and audio assets must be in the public domain,
licensed as creative commons, or include a permissive licence that specifically
allows commercial use of the asset.
● All downloaded media assets must be referenced, including the title, URL, and
licence type.
● Webfonts (such as Google Fonts) may be used and must be referenced
● All code sourced from the Internet must be referenced. This includes:
○ Code files that you have downloaded or linked to
○ Code from online examples that you have modified (e.g. Codepen,
StackOverflow)
○ Code from online tutorials (e.g. CoDrops.com YouTube.com)
All non-original assets that are used in new video(s) you create must be referenced.
