GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS TO STUDENTS
• Macquarie University operates under a ‘Fit to Sit’ model. This means that by downloading the exam paper, a
student declares themselves fit to do so.
• The due time will not be extended in case a student downloads an exam paper later than the start time specified
for an exam.
• Students are required to remain in the classroom/Zoom room for the entire duration of the exam. Students in the
Zoom room are required to have their audio unmuted, their camera on and their face visible at all times. The use
of headphones/ear buds and virtual/blurred backgrounds are not permitted.
• Students are required to follow the instructions provided to them by the invigilator, on iLearn and in the relevant
assessment task documents.
• If you are in a classroom and have a question raise your hand and the Examination Invigilator will approach you.
If you are in a Zoom room send a message to the Examination Invigilator via the chat feature and the Invigilator
will respond.
• This exam paper may not be disseminated in any way.
• Students may only access authorised materials during this examination. A list of authorised material is available
on this cover sheet.
• This is an individual assessment task. Students must refrain from communicating in any way with another student
or other third parties during the examination.
• Students are responsible for maintaining academic integrity during assessments by abiding by Macquarie
University's Student Code of Conduct and Academic Integrity Policy.
• If it is alleged a student has breached these rules at any time during the examination, the matter may
be reported to the University for further action.
If you are in a Zoom room and your internet / Zoom meeting freezes, you should exit the session and re-enter
immediately. The invigilator will make a note of the time your image freezes and when you drop out and when
you return. No extra time is given to your examination session.
